Carrie Turbow, LISW-S
Ms. Turbow received her Master's of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2004. She has a variety of experience in community adolescent mental health, hospital, social service, government, and corporate settings. She joined Weinstein and Associates in December of 2008 after returning home from Phoenix, Arizona. Areas of practice include: Psychosocial assessment and diagnostic modalities, treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, and treatment of psychological conditions secondary to workers' physical injury. She also specializes in evaluation and treatment in personal injury and medical malpractice cases in addition to the work with the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Ms. Turbow uses various techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy and client-centered therapy. She focuses on development of positive communications strategies and community/social reintegration focusing on capabilities versus limitations. Ms. Turbow is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She is scheduled to begin her training as a Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist through the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists this coming summer. Her personal interests include running and yoga and is exploring how yoga could be used to improve depression and pain.
