Richard James Duval, Ph.D.

Dr. Duval received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1989.  As a graduate student, he worked and published with Myron Eisenberg, Ph.D., of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.  Dr. Duval has been associated with Dr. Weinstein since the clinical practice of Weinstein & Associates opened in 1978. Areas of expertise include:
  • psychological assessment  
  • treatment of anxiety and mood disorders
  • developmental disabilities
  • evaluation and treatment of psychological conditions secondary to physical injury.

His therapy orientation is a cognitive-behavioral one. Dr. Duval has worked for local developmental disability boards, as well as state agencies such as the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio. Dr. Duval is a member of the Ohio Psychological Association. His personal interests include international adoption and cultural exchange programs.
