Dr. Froilan earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees with an emphasis in counseling psychology from The Ohio State University. He joined Weinstein & Associates in May 2013 and is primarily serving the Central and Southern Ohio regions. Before joining Weinstein & Associates, Dr. Froilan worked in the fields of psychiatric social work (as a Licensed Social Worker) and higher education (as an academic adviser and adjunct faculty member). He has provided psychological services to a diverse client population in multiple settings (i.e., university counseling center, community mental health centers, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center, VA hospital/Vet Center, and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Psychology Center affiliated with a university hospital). He is a current member of the Ohio Psychological Association.
Serving as a staff psychologist for Weinstein & Associates, Dr. Froilan provides psychological evaluations of injured persons, psychological assessment and psychotherapy, and treatment of psychological conditions related to injury (i.e., depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and disruption of interpersonal functioning).
His interests include psychological assessment/evaluation of injured workers, empirically-based treatment of psychological disorders related to injury, gender-related concerns for injured workers, cross-cultural concerns for injured workers.
